Jessica Dawn Koenig has filed a lawsuit against Rincon Property Management, Inc., and Pauline Alvarez, alleging negligence and strict liability after a dog attack left her injured. The complaint was filed on May 7, 2025, in the Superior Court of California, County of Ventura. The case centers around an incident that occurred on March 15, 2025, when Koenig was allegedly bitten by a dog owned by the defendants while she was lawfully present at a property managed by Rincon Property Management.

According to the complaint, Jessica Koenig claims that the defendants were aware of the dog's dangerous propensities prior to the attack but failed to take reasonable steps to prevent harm. The plaintiff asserts that this failure constitutes negligence and a breach of duty owed to her and the general public. "Defendants recklessly failed to take reasonable steps to prevent the dog from biting the general public," states the complaint. It further alleges that both Rincon Property Management and Pauline Alvarez had control over the property where the incident took place and were responsible for ensuring it was safe for visitors.

Koenig's legal team argues that due to this negligence, she suffered severe injuries impacting her health, strength, and nervous system. These injuries have caused her significant physical and mental suffering, potentially resulting in permanent disabilities. As a result of these injuries, Koenig has incurred medical expenses and may continue to do so in the future. Additionally, she claims lost earnings due to being unable to perform her usual occupational duties following the attack.

The lawsuit seeks various forms of relief from the court. Jessica Koenig is asking for general damages according to proof presented during trial as well as compensation for past and future medical expenses related to her injuries. She also seeks damages for lost earnings due to her inability to work post-incident. Furthermore, Koenig is pursuing punitive damages against Rincon Property Management and Pauline Alvarez for their alleged reckless disregard for safety. Lastly, she requests reimbursement for legal costs incurred throughout this litigation process.

Representing Jessica Koenig is attorney Daneel Touma from Quirk Law Firm LLP. The case has been assigned Case No: 2Qq25 CLI POO43765 in Ventura County's Superior Court.
