Stacey Ramirez sues Penney OpCo for negligence and premises liability

In the Superior Court of California, County of Ventura, a lawsuit has been filed by plaintiff Stacey Ramirez against Penney OpCo, LLC dba JC Penny and DOES 1 through 100. The case ID is 2023CUPP016063 and was filed on October 31, 2023. The lawsuit is about negligence and premises liability.

Represented by attorney Mark K. Flores from Crane Flores LLP, Ramirez alleges that an incident occurred at a property owned or controlled by the defendants in Ventura, California. On November 26, 2021, Ramirez slipped and fell on water that was known to be present on the floor by an employee of the defendant's company.

The complaint states that the defendants had both constructive and actual notice of the condition but failed to take remedial measures to protect Ramirez and other invitees.
