Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Sahara Pynes, who was named a 2022 Woman of Influence by L.A. Business First.
The list recognizes ten women executives from a cross section of industries including legal, commercial real estate and finance throughout the Los Angeles region. Pynes is honored for her demonstrated commitment to educating and advancing women in the legal profession and business community.
A labor and employment partner in Fox’s Los Angeles office, Pynes has focused her career on partnering with women entrepreneurs, including a growing roster of women-led businesses in media, beauty, fashion, staffing and the nonprofit sphere, to build strong human resources infrastructure and employee culture for their companies without sacrificing legal compliance. She advises business leaders on how to best comply with state and federal employment laws relating to workplace discrimination, wage-and-hour laws, disability accommodations, family and medical leave and workforce reductions.
As a former business owner herself, Pynes has established herself as a thought leader on the Legally EmpowHERed podcast where she hosts discussions for and with female entrepreneurs on various aspects of starting a business. Topics have included formulating a brand strategy and overcoming challenges faced by women bosses, as well as the intersection of women’s advancement and the DEI movement.
An engaged member of the community, Pynes is active in the Los Angeles Women’s Collective, a political action committee that works to increase the representation of women in politics; Create & Cultivate, an online resource for female entrepreneurs; The Association, a global women’s executive networking group; and Women Entrepreneurs Inc., an organization supporting women in business. In addition, she’s been active in the Santa Monica Bay chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization, a community-focused leadership organization of young chief executives, for the past decade. She also serves on the advisory board of Present Now, an organization that supports women and children in domestic violence shelters, and is an advocate for the Kevin Love Fund, a group that fosters mental health awareness for teens.
