San Diego Unified School District claiming heterosexuality is a system of oppression and promoting the idea that girls can have penises is totally unrelated to education but every bit about indoctrination, according to the leader of a non-profit organization that advocates for equal rights.
“This insanity of ‘you can be anyone you want’ in terms of gender or sexual identity is sexualizing kids,” said Wenyuan Wu, executive director of Californians for Equal Rights Foundation (CFER). “They are encouraging and fostering delusion with this gender ideology stuff.”
Wu was responding to documents obtained by Christopher Rufo, which reveal the controversial topics are allegedly being taught to K-12 students.
“Parents need to be engaged,” Wu told the Southern California Record. “They need to question the school board members and the school district leaders about why they are doing this to their children. Parents have a right to know, and they have a right to get involved and be in the driver's seat for their children's education.”
Rufo tweeted on Twitter last week that the district had gone all-in on radical gender theory (RGT)
“Teachers are encouraged to share the principles of radical gender theory with their students and show them pictures of a woman with a beard, a boy in a” dress, a teenage girl with a “genderqueer” identity, a boy wearing a tiara, and an infant with a “gender neutral baby name,” Rufo wrote.
Rufo’s series of tweets include excerpts from literature called ‘Facilitator Training: Workshops for LGBTQ+ Youth and Allies.'
“In a sexual education curriculum produced in partnership with Planned Parenthood, the district promotes the use of the terms “people with a penis” and “people with a vulva,” because girls can have penises and boys can have vaginas,” Rufo stated.
San Diego Unified School District did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
