LOS ANGELES - A negligence case against Delta Airlines and China Eastern Airlines was removed to the federal court on April 15.

The complaint was first filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Feb. 18 by plaintiff Ziqing Wu.

In 2018, Wu and his wife used Delta Airlines Shanghai. Wu and his wife were 75 and 71 years old, respectively.

According to the complaint, when the plane arrived at Shanghai it was raining and the runway was wet. Wu says he repeatedly requested assistance in gathering he and his wife's carry-on luggage and getting off the plane due to their advanced age.

Due to the defendant's alleged lack of assistance and the rain on the stairs leading off the plane, Wu slipped and fell down the stairs.

The defendants are sued for negligence for Wu's hospitalization and injuries.

Wu is represented by the Law Offices of Edward Y. Lee of Los Angeles.
