LOS ANGELES - An anonymous 24-year-old woman sued a Los Angeles man in the Central California District Court for alleged violation of federal child sexual exploitation and child pornography laws, according to documents filed on March 2.

The plaintiff, listed as Jane Doe, allegedly interacted with defendant Christopher D'Elia on social media when she was a 17-year-old high school student in 2014. At the time, D'Elia was approximately 34, the suit says.

D'Elia is a well known stand-up comedian and actor who has played roles on Comedy Central and in various Netflix and ABC shows, including "The Good Doctor" and "You."

After speaking on social media, Doe and D'Elia met at a hotel room where sexual activity allegedly happened. After, D'Elia allegedly demanded that the plaintiff provide sexually explicit photos of herself, her genitalia and masturbatory acts and would psychologically abuse her if she did not comply.

Doe eventually ceased contact with D'Elia acknowledging the unhealthy dynamic of their contact. D'Elia has denied the allegations.

The plaintiff seeks actual and punitive damages plus litigation fees. She is represented by the Fierberg National Law Group PLLC of Manhattan Beach.
