A class action lawsuit has been filed against a California corporation, accusing it of multiple labor law violations. Moises Cabrera, on behalf of himself and other similarly situated individuals, lodged the complaint in the Superior Court of California, County of Ventura, on April 15, 2025. The defendants named in the case are Gleiberman Properties, Inc., doing business as MG Properties Group.
The complaint alleges that Gleiberman Properties engaged in a series of unlawful employment practices affecting hourly-paid or non-exempt employees across California. According to Cabrera, these practices include failing to pay overtime wages as required by law, not providing mandatory meal and rest breaks, and neglecting to pay minimum wages for all hours worked. "Defendants have intentionally and willfully failed to pay overtime wages owed," the complaint states. Furthermore, Cabrera claims that the company did not issue final wages promptly upon termination or resignation and provided inaccurate wage statements. The lawsuit outlines numerous violations of the California Labor Code and Business & Professions Code § 17200.
Cabrera seeks class certification for all current and former hourly-paid or non-exempt employees who worked for Gleiberman Properties within four years preceding the filing of this complaint. The relief sought includes unpaid wages at overtime rates, statutory penalties for failure to provide accurate wage statements, reimbursement for unreimbursed business expenses, and injunctive relief to ensure compliance with labor laws. Additionally, Cabrera demands restitution under California's unfair competition law for unpaid wages withheld by the defendants.
Represented by Lawyers for Justice PC from Glendale, California, Cabrera's legal team is led by Arby Aiwazian. The case is identified under Case No.: 2O2SCIIQOED42089 and was electronically filed with Executive Officer K. Bieke overseeing its submission through Deputy Clerk Natalie Rosete.
