Claudia A. Hernandez has taken a bold step to challenge her former employer's labor practices by filing a class action lawsuit against Guidehouse Managed Services, LLC. The complaint was filed on February 19, 2025, in the Superior Court of California, County of Ventura. Hernandez accuses Guidehouse Managed Services of multiple violations of the California Labor Code and unfair business practices that have allegedly affected not only her but also other employees similarly situated.

Hernandez's allegations are extensive and serious. She claims that Guidehouse Managed Services failed to pay minimum wages and overtime compensation as required by law. The company is also accused of not providing legally mandated meal periods and rest breaks, failing to indemnify necessary business expenses, not paying final wages timely upon termination, and issuing inaccurate wage statements. According to the complaint, these actions constitute violations of several sections of the California Labor Code and are considered unfair business practices under the California Business & Professions Code §§ 17200 et seq.

The lawsuit details how Hernandez and other employees were systematically denied their rights over an extended period while working for Guidehouse Managed Services in Ventura County from January 2016 to July 2024. It describes a workplace where employees were often required to work "off the clock" without compensation for tasks such as waiting in line to clock in or undergoing COVID screenings before starting their shifts. Furthermore, it alleges that employees had to use personal devices for work-related communications without reimbursement.

Hernandez seeks class certification for this lawsuit, representing all hourly-paid, non-exempt employees who worked for Guidehouse Managed Services in California during the relevant statutory period. She demands restitution for unpaid wages including minimum wage and overtime pay along with interest, liquidated damages, statutory penalties, and attorney fees. Additionally, she requests injunctive relief to prevent further violations by Guidehouse Managed Services.

The legal team representing Claudia A. Hernandez includes Kane Moon, Allen Feghali, S. Phillip Song, and Stanley J. Park from Moon Law Group PC based in Los Angeles. The case is being heard under Case No.: 2025 CLUIOED SEBO 4 at the Superior Court of California in Ventura County.
