A former employee has taken legal action against a company for alleged labor violations, including failure to pay overtime and minimum wages. Adrian Sanchez filed a class-action complaint in the Superior Court of California, County of Ventura, on February 10, 2025, against Pinnpack Capital Holdings, LLC, Mario Zaragoza, and other unnamed defendants.

Adrian Sanchez, representing himself and other similarly situated employees, claims that Pinnpack Capital Holdings and its affiliates violated several California labor laws. According to the complaint, Sanchez worked for the defendants from January 2021 to July 2024 as a non-exempt employee responsible for tasks such as loading plastic waste and cleaning. The lawsuit alleges that during this period, the company failed to pay overtime wages for hours worked beyond eight per day or forty per week. Additionally, it accuses the company of not providing adequate meal and rest periods as required by law. "Defendants have had a consistent policy of failing to provide Plaintiffs and similarly situated employees with the rights provided under the Healthy Workplace Healthy Families Act," states the complaint.

The plaintiff seeks various forms of relief from the court. These include unpaid wages for overtime and minimum wage violations, penalties for inaccurate wage statements, waiting time penalties for late payment upon termination or resignation, and restitution under California's Unfair Competition Law. Furthermore, Sanchez requests injunctive relief to prevent future violations by requiring Pinnpack Capital Holdings to establish effective compliance measures with California labor laws.

Representing Adrian Sanchez is Bibiyan Law Group P.C., with attorneys David D. Bibiyan and Henry G. Glitz leading the case. The case was filed under Case No.: 2025 CLWIOQE036091 in front of Judge Aronda McCormick at Ventura Superior Court.
