Alexandra Hider, a downtown Los Angeles associate in McGuireWoods’ Financial Services & Securities Enforcement Department, has accepted a judicial clerkship in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Her last day at the firm was Feb. 7.

Hider was a summer associate at the firm in 2020 and joined McGuireWoods in 2021 after graduating from Loyola Law School. For the past four years, she assisted corporate clients in complex litigation matters in state and federal courts.

Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Hider served as an extern for the U.S. Attorneys’ Office in the Central District of California, and for a judge of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. She graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California in 2018 with a dual degree in business administration and political science.

“McGuireWoods has been the ideal place for me to grow as a lawyer,” Hider said. “As a junior attorney, I have had opportunities to engage with every step of litigation and work on a variety of interesting and complex matters. The firm has provided me with invaluable mentors to help me succeed, and I am extremely grateful for all the amazing lawyers I have been able to work with and learn from.”

“We are grateful for Alex’s contributions to our team and her excellent work during her time at the firm,” said Robert Muckenfuss, chair of McGuireWoods’ Financial Services & Securities Enforcement Department. “While we are sad to see her go, we wish her the very best in the next chapter of her career.”
