James Martin Saenz, represented by Mitchell P. Beck and The Law Offices of Larry H. Parker Inc., has filed a lawsuit against Jennifer Feltis, Corey Feltis, Venture Logistics Inc., New-Indy Oxnard LLC, and 50 unnamed defendants. The case was filed in the Superior Court of California, County of Ventura with the case ID 2024CUPA019007 on January 2, 2024. The complaint alleges negligence, negligence per se, and statutory liability.

The incident in question occurred on January 24, 2022, when an unidentified vehicle suddenly slowed down and made an illegal U-turn in front of Saenz's vehicle causing him to brake abruptly. This led to the cargo he was hauling coming loose which then caused defendant Jennifer Feltis to rear-end Saenz's vehicle. At the time of the incident, Saenz was driving a 2020 Freight Tractor owned by Venture Logistics Inc., while Jennifer Feltis was operating a 2016 Jeep Cherokee owned by herself and Corey Feltis.

New-Indy Oxnard LLC is implicated as they were responsible for maintaining the cargo that came loose from Saenz's tractor. As a result of this chain reaction accident, Saenz suffered severe bodily injuries. He is seeking damages for his injuries as well as a jury trial.
