In the Superior Court for the State of California, County of Ventura, a lawsuit was filed on May 10, 2023, by plaintiff Robin Clark against defendants Mitchell Katz and Turf Exchange Inc. The case ID is 2023CUPA00R797 and the suit alleges damages based on negligence. The plaintiff's legal representation is provided by Santo Riccobono and Tobin Ellis from Ellis Riccobono LLP.

The complaint details that Robin Clark, resident of Ventura County, has alleged negligence on part of Mitchell Katz, also a resident of Ventura County, and Turf Exchange Inc., a bonded and insured company licensed to do business in California. The plaintiff asserts that Katz was acting within his employment scope at Turf Exchange during the time of a vehicle collision that led to this lawsuit.

The defendant was traveling east on Santa Rosa Road when he recklessly entered into the westbound lane where the plaintiff was traveling, resulting in a head-on collision between the vehicles.  A CHP officer on the scene detected the odor of alcohol on the breath of Mr. Katz along with objective signs of intoxication.  Mr. Katz was arrested at the scene.

Furthermore, it is claimed that Turf Exchange is responsible for all acts committed by Katz while under their agency. This includes the aforementioned vehicle collision which resulted in grave injuries to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for damages incurred due to alleged negligence. It is asserted that each defendant directly caused the injuries and damages experienced by the plaintiff through their wrongful conduct. As such, Robin Clark demands a jury trial for this case.
