In a lawsuit filed on March 24, 2023, in the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Ventura (Case No.: 2ORSCUPAOOT1), plaintiff Zuri Andrade, represented by attorney Mark K. Flores from Crane Flores LLP, is suing defendant Alfonso Tienda-Guzman and unnamed defendants (DOES 1 through 100) for damages due to negligence and negligence per se. The complaint also includes a demand for a jury trial.

The plaintiff alleges that on April 16, 2021, at Rose Avenue and Gonzalez Road in Oxnard, Ventura County, California, the defendants negligently operated their vehicle causing it to collide with the plaintiff's vehicle. This accident resulted in injuries and damages to the plaintiff. The exact cost and value of these damages have not been specified but exceed the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court.

Andrade claims that each defendant was legally responsible for the incident and that their negligence combined to cause her injuries. She further alleges that their conduct violated applicable vehicle codes making their actions negligent per se.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against all defendants for general damages in excess of the court's minimum jurisdictional limit due to injuries sustained which she believes will result in some permanent disability. She also demands a jury trial.
