In the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Ventura, Gabriel Francisco Sanchez and Jaqueline Jeronimo, represented by Jacob O. Partiyeli, have filed a lawsuit against Thomas Roberto Avila and 50 other unidentified individuals (DOEs 1-50). The case, identified as 2023CUPA017658, was filed on December 8th, 2023, and alleges negligence leading to a motor vehicle collision.

The plaintiffs, Sanchez and Jeronimo, residents of Los Angeles County, claim that Avila, a resident of Ventura County, was at fault in a collision that occurred on April 22nd, 2023 in Santa Barbara. The incident involved Sanchez's vehicle which carried Jeronimo as a passenger and Avila's motorcycle. The plaintiffs also include an unnamed driver identified as Cheyanne Lynn White in their complaint.

According to the filing, Avila's motorcycle crossed over the double yellow line while traveling at approximately 90 mph in a 45-mph zone and collided head-on with the plaintiff's vehicle. This resulted in significant injuries to both plaintiffs and totalled their Infinity C50 car. The plaintiffs argue that the accident was entirely caused by Avila's negligence and speeding.

Sanchez and Jeronimo are seeking damages for their injuries and loss incurred due to the accident. They demand a jury trial for their case against Avila and Does 1-50.
