In a recent filing at the Ventura Superior Court, plaintiffs Jessica Amato and Jafida Amato are suing defendants Jacob Valentine Hoffman, Jenna Lee Willis, and 30 unidentified individuals (DOES 1 through 30). The lawsuit, case number 2023CUPA007184, was filed on March 30, 2023, and alleges personal injuries due to negligence.

Represented by attorney David B. Bobrosky of Lewitt, Hackman, Shapiro, Marshall & Harlan law firm, the plaintiffs accuse the defendants of causing them serious and permanent injuries. The lawsuit details that Hoffman and DOES 1 through 5 were allegedly owners of a 2021 Genesis GV80 automobile involved in the incident. It also mentions that Willis and DOES 21 through 25 owned a motor vehicle described as a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee implicated in the accident.

The complaint further alleges that these vehicles were operated with the consent and knowledge of their respective owners. The unidentified defendants (DOES) are believed to be legally liable for the events leading to the plaintiffs' injuries.

The plaintiffs are seeking judgment for personal injuries caused by all defendants' alleged negligence. They plan to amend their pleading once they ascertain the true names and capacities of the unidentified defendants.
