On July 25, 2023, a lawsuit was filed in the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Ventura by plaintiffs Peter James Ludden and Brianon Rose Ludden against defendants Tyler Deleon Tiengard, Theresa Tiengard, and Does 1 through 50 (Case No.: 2023CUP4012048). The case revolves around a personal injury claim arising from a traffic collision that occurred on November 26, 2022.

The plaintiffs are represented by Kristal Pacheco, Esq. from Sweet James, LLP. The complaint alleges that while traveling southbound on the 5 Interstate Freeway in Carlsbad, California, their vehicle was rear-ended by a GMC Vehicle driven negligently by defendant Tyler Deleon Tiengard. The impact resulted in severe injuries to both Peter James Ludden and Brianon Rose Ludden.

The incident took place near the Las Flores exit where the plaintiff's vehicle was at a complete stop due to traffic slowing down and stopping. The defendant allegedly failed to maintain a safe speed which led to the collision.

The plaintiffs are seeking damages for negligence. They believe that each of these fictitiously named defendants is legally responsible for the events referred to in the complaint and caused injuries to them.
