Auto parts supplier Carquest is facing a class action lawsuit over allegations of shorting worker pay and other violations of California labor law.

The suit was initially filed in November in Los Angeles County Superior Court, but was removed by the defendants to L.A. federal court on Dec. 18.

The plaintiff, Leticia Romero, is accusing Carquest's parent company Golden State Supply LLC and unnamed defendants (Does 1 through 10) of multiple labor code violations. These include failure to pay minimum wages and overtime compensation, failure to provide meal periods and rest breaks, failure to maintain accurate records of hours worked and meal periods, failure to timely pay all wages to terminated employees, failure to indemnify necessary business expenses, and failure to furnish accurate wage statements.

Romero is bringing the lawsuit individually and on behalf of other current and former employees.

The plaintiffs are represented by attorneys Kane Moon, Daniel J. Park and Michael Citrin, of Moon Law Group, of Los Angeles.
