Ankush Israni has joined the Firm as a partner in its Real Estate Practice. He is based in the Los Angeles Office.
Mr. Israni advises on a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including senior debt and mezzanine financing, joint ventures, purchase and sale, loan sale agreements, fintech issues, and leases. His clients, which include both institutional and noninstitutional investors, consist of private equity funds, real estate investment companies, and REITs. Mr. Israni is also the former deputy general counsel for an award-winning investment platform focused on real estate debt.

Mr. Israni joins a global team of 120 lawyers in Jones Day's Real Estate Practice, which provides clients with comprehensive legal solutions to business opportunities by drawing on experience in the real estate industry worldwide and collaborates with Jones Day colleagues in environmental law, tax law, financial services, corporate law, and dispute resolution. The Firm's Real Estate clients include investment banks, real estate funds, institutional investors, lenders, major corporations, real estate developers, property management companies, retailers, and hospitality companies.

Mr. Israni earned his law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and his undergraduate degree from California State University at Fullerton.
