Texas dad fears his ex-wife's relocation to California will lead to gender reassignment for their 10-year-old son

Amid ongoing national controversy over the legalities of transitioning gender dysphoric youths, Jeff Younger is taking a stand against his ex-wife’s alleged wish to relocate their 10-year-old twins to California where she could easily secure gender reassignment surgeries for one of their sons.

In Dallas, there’s currently an injunction preventing Anne Georgulas, a pediatrician in Coppell, Texas, from physically transitioning James Younger from a boy to a girl.

The Aug. 3, 2021, court order states that while Georgulas was granted most parental rights, neither parent may treat the child with hormonal suppression therapy, puberty blockers, or transgender reassignment surgery without both parents’ consent.

But there’s nothing stopping Georgulas now that Dallas District Judge Mary Brown signed an order allowing her to leave the Lone Star state.

“The court finds the following orders necessary for the safety and welfare of the children and that these orders are in the children's best interest,” Brown wrote in her Sept. 21 ruling. “Residency restriction of the children's primary residence is expanded to include anywhere in the continental United States.”

Younger views the judge’s order as an improper termination of his parental rights.

“In Texas, you cannot terminate a parent's rights without a jury trial,” he said. “We're the only state that requires convincing 12 of your fellow citizens that you should have your parental rights terminated. Judges are not allowed to do that but this is being done under the guise of a temporary order.”

Younger’s plight to save his son from transgenderism captured the attention of national media attention last year after he lost custody of James who is allegedly being socialized as a girl with dresses, transgender lotions that add estrogens to his body, high estrogen foods, and using the girl’s restroom in elementary school.

If Georgulas establishes residency for James and his fraternal twin Jude in California, their concerned father would have no standing to oppose the medical transition of James under Senate Bill (SB) 107 if it’s signed into law by Gov. Gavin Newsom.

That’s because SB 107 prevents the criminalization of parents who allow their children to use puberty blockers and undergo gender reassignment surgery.

“She testified under oath that she wants to move to California and that she wants to move the case to California,” Younger told the Southern California Record.

As previously reported in the Southern California Record, the California state assembly approved SB 107 on Aug. 29.

“I’m going to file an emergency stay and go up to the higher court on a petition for a Writ of Mandamus to order Judge Brown not to do this,” Younger added.
