Congratulations to IP litigation partner Alyssa Caridis on being named to Bloomberg Law’s “40 under 40” list, which recognizes national rising stars who represent “the best of the future of the legal profession.”
In this Q&A feature, Alyssa, deputy leader of Orrick’s global IP litigation practice and head of the firm’s Los Angeles office, discusses her litigation successes, including her role in a team representing Sonos in major patent infringement litigation against Google.
Alyssa describes how growing up in a family of inventors shaped her passion for protecting innovation, advising other lawyers to “love what you do and don’t be afraid to show it.” And she told the publication: “While the “W” at the end of the case is a critical component of the objective, it’s only “success” when the client feels that it was well represented and when that victory is achieved by teammates who enjoyed the experience and look forward to getting after the next case with each other.”
This is the second consecutive year Bloomberg has named one of our lawyers to its “40 under 40” list. Last year, the publication recognized appellate partner Mel Bostwick.
