Heidy Vaquerano Named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Women Attorneys of Influence List

Award

Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Heidy Vaquerano, who was featured in the “Women of Influence: Attorneys” supplement by the Los Angeles Business Journal.

The annual spotlight recognizes women attorneys with “exceptional legal skill and achievement across the full spectrum of responsibility, exemplary leadership as evidenced by the highest professional and ethical standards and for contributions to the Los Angeles community at large.”

Vaquerano, a partner in the firm’s Entertainment & Sports Law Department, is noted for her “vast experience in entertainment” and as “a skilled negotiator who closes lucrative transactions for musicians, actors, comedians, producers and managers.”

On the leading edge of technology in entertainment, Vaquerano is a go-to resource for negotiating NFT deals with major platforms such as Yellow Heart and Ethernity. Beyond Fox, she is a co-founder of Futuro, an NFT platform for Latinx artists that is slated to launch later this year. She anticipates these new platforms will be a medium for connection between artists and fans and serve as a way for artists to sell limited edition digital assets and expand their income streams.

Vaquerano serves on the SXSW Pitch Advisory Board, using her extensive network in the BIPOC communities to recruit diverse startups in the music, entertainment and virtual reality industries. In May 2021, she was also appointed to the Board of Trustees for her alma mater, Southwestern Law School, as its first Latina member. She previously served as the Managing Director of Girls in Tech Los Angeles, organizing events to help bring racial and gender equity in tech to Los Angeles, and is a former member of the WiStem L.A. Advisory Board, an initiative launched by the Office of Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti to combat the barriers faced by women and BIPOC communities.

She earned her J.D. from Southwestern Law School and B.A. from University of Southern California.
