FRESNO -- A minor, through his guardian ad litem, is suing multiple hospitals for medical malpractice and the wrongful death of his father.

Noah Sifuentes, a minor and successor in interest of decedent Frank Angel Sifuentes, Jr., by and through his guardian ad litem, Jessica Perez, filed a complaint on June 17 in Fresno County Superior Court against Community Regional Medical Center, Madera Community Hospital, Keck Hospital of USC and Does 1-50 for wrongful death based on medical malpractice and survival action based on negligence.

According to the complaint, on April 15, 2020, Frank Sifuentes went to Madera Community Hospital when experiencing "great physical pain and suffering" and was diagnosed with a torn artery that required surgery to repair.

Noah Sifuentes alleges Madera Community Hospital then refused to perform the surgery and planned for transfer his father to Community Regional Medical Center, which then allegedly refused to perform the surgery and/or did not have the adequate medical providers skilled to perform it.

CRMC allegedly planned to transfer Frank Sifuentes to Stanford, but failed to take the steps for said transfer. Frank Sifuentes was then discharged without surgery but had to return to Community Regional Medical Center later that day for extreme pain, the suit says.

Frank Sifuentes was finally transferred to Keck Hospital of USC in Los Angeles on April 23, 2020, for the surgery. On April 24, 2020, Frank Sifuentes died before getting to the operating table.

Noah Sifuentes seeks general damages, funeral and burial expenses, medical and related expenses, loss of earnings and cost of suit. Noah Sifuentes is represented by Henry D. Nunez.
