Man sues mattress company for handicap inaccessibility

Federal Court
Lawsuit

LOS ANGELES - A man claims that he was unable to go into a mattress store due to the facility not being handicap accessible.

Adam Ghadiri filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court Central District of California on May 7 against ZZZZZ Mattress Warehouse, Albert Morales, an individual and TMX Holdings Inc TR, a trust for violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, violation of the Unruh Civil Right Act and general negligence.

Adam Ghadiri, a disabled adult male that suffers from severe arthritis in his knees and back with a diagnosis of spinal stenosis and myelopath and uses a cane for mobility, alleged that upon visiting ZZZZZ Mattress Warehouse found the disability parking faded and the store was inaccessible to enter. Ghadiri alleges this is against the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 that states all public areas must be handicap accessible.

Ghadiri seeks mandatory injunctive relief, $4,000 for damages, attorneys fees and costs and the store fix its accessibility issues.
