Kroger accused of failing to pay employees overtime, minimum wage

Federal Court
Kroger

LOS ANGELES - A class action lawsuit against Kroger accuses the grocery store of multiple labor code violations including failing to offer meal breaks and failing to pay overtime wages.

The complaint was filed by plaintiff Omar Rosales on April 24 in the Orange County Superior Court and removed to federal court on April 29.

Rosales was an employee of the defendant at its La Habra Bakery bread manufacturing location in La Habra.

Rosales accuses Kroger of habitually failing to pay for all of the hours its La Habra employees worked, failing to pay minimum wage or for overtime wages, failing to pay employees when they worked through their meal breaks and failing to provide meal breaks/rest periods, failing to comply with itemized employee wage statement provisions, failing to pay wages due at termination of employment and violation of unfair competition law.

Rosales is represented by the Mara Law Firm of San Diego and Eldessouky Law of Bellflower.
