LOS ANGELES - An ambitious $5 million request for pain and suffering is demanded by a man who allegedly slipped and fell on wet floor at the Kohl's department store on Lone Hill Ave. in Glendora.

Plaintiff Miguel Rojas was at the Kohl's on January 14, 2019, where he says in a lawsuit filed last year in Los Angeles Superior Court he slipped on an unmarked, unguarded wet floor. Rojas sued Kohl's for general negligence in failing to inspect, maintain control of a safe premises.

The plaintiff's medical expenses were slightly more than $11,000, but he is demanding $5 million for his "pain, suffering and inconvenience." He wants another $5,500 for emotional distress.

Rojas is represented by the Law Offices of Lee C. Arter of Los Angeles. Kohl's removed the case to Los Angeles federal court on March 11.
