Clark Hill PLC issued the following announcement on Sept. 15.
Clark Hill PLC has announced the addition of Randolf Katz as a Member in its Corporate Law practice, resident in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Katz is a business attorney, who acts as outside general counsel and special securities counsel to U.S. and international public and private companies in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance matters, as well as in certain regulatory enforcement proceedings.
“Randy has over 40 years’ experience representing public and private companies with complex corporate and securities matters and leading them to practical and innovative solutions,” said Jarrod Duffy, Co-chair of Clark Hill’s Corporate Business Unit. “Randy’s sophisticated and unique skill set will be an asset to our outstanding team, as we continue to strategically expand our corporate capabilities across the firm’s global platform.”
“Randy has a sophisticated corporate practice and deep client relationships in California and well beyond,” said Donald Ridge, Member-in-Charge of Clark Hill’s Los Angeles office. “He is a strong addition to our team and will play a significant role in expanding our corporate practice across Clark Hill’s national and global reach.”
Katz assists entities domestically and abroad to work through unique and sophisticated matters, while also providing them with advice and counsel regarding compliance and regulatory concerns. He regularly represents public and private companies in their debt and equity financings – currently aggregating in excess of $1 billion – as well as in their acquisitions and dispositions of assets and business units. Katz has also represented a number of publicly traded domestic corporations in SEC and state enforcement proceedings, as well as representing accountants in PCAOB and state enforcement proceedings.
“My clients and I have worked with Clark Hill in a number of matters – some on the same side of the table and others on the opposite side. I have been impressed with the caliber of attorneys and the quality of representation in each instance. The firm has a well-deserved reputation for providing excellent legal services, along with a solid and impressive client base across multiple industries,” noted Katz. “And, given Clark Hill’s strengths both domestically and globally, it provides a great footprint for me to expand my practice even further.”
Katz earned his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, and his A.B. from the University of California, Berkeley.
