GREENBERG TRAURIG: Greenberg Traurig’s Energy & Natural Resources Practice, Attorneys Recognized by 2020 Chambers USA

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Energy & Natural Resources Practice and five of its Energy attorneys have been recognized in the prestigious 2020 Chambers USAGuide. The annual guide is chosen by UK-based Chambers and Partners and is based on thousands of interviews with practicing lawyers and clients.

The Energy & Natural Resources Practice is recognized in the guide’s USA-Nationwide Energy: Oil & Gas (Regulatory & Litigation) category. In addition, the following attorneys received market- and practice-specific recognition:

Chester, Global Head of Energy Project Finance, has deep experience handling transactions related to renewable energy, having closed more than 100 wind and solar power projects throughout the United States and Mexico. Chester has been centrally involved in the development of the equity, debt, and capital markets for renewable energy projects and represents developers, sponsors, lenders, and investors in a wide variety of energy finance transactions. He has been recognized in the Chambers USA Guide since 2008.

Lawrence is experienced appearing before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and multiple state utility commissions regarding regulatory proceedings, compliance and enforcement, capacity and energy market structure, transactions and negotiations, asset transfers, and governmental affairs. He has been recognized in the Chambers USA Guide since 2012.

Minesinger is co-chair of the firm’s Energy & Natural Resources Practice. He represents domestic and international clients in the development of their oil and gas resources, on major pipeline and LNG projects, and on energy regulatory issues. Minesinger concentrates on energy projects, regulation, and litigation. He has been recognized in the Chambers USA Guide since 2007.

Nelson has more than 30 years of regulatory and litigation experience, which includes representing clients in major interstate natural gas and petroleum pipeline hearings at FERC and state agencies, involving complex multiparty major rate cases and in certificate, LNG licensing, restructuring, tariff, gas quality, merger, and interconnection proceedings. He has been recognized in the Chambers USA Guide since 2007.

Saia is chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Albany office’s Energy & Natural Resources Practice. She focuses her practice on the representation of national and international corporations that own and operate electric generating facilities and engage in financial transactions trading electricity products. She was recently recognized for the third time as “Lawyer of the Year” in energy law by The Best Lawyers in America in 2020 and has been recognized in the Chambers USA Guide since 2008.
