FOX ROTHSCHILD LLP: Fox Welcomes Bankruptcy Partner Keith Owens in Los Angeles

Fox Rothschild LLP issued the following announcement on March 12.

Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to welcome Keith C. Owens in Los Angeles as a partner in the Financial Restructuring & Bankruptcy Department.

“Keith brings extensive knowledge of multifaceted bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings at the federal and state levels, and a keen understanding of how to handle and successfully resolve for his clients insolvency matters, distressed acquisitions and dispositions in out-of-court transactions for clients across a range of industries,” said Emily J. Yukich, Fox’s Los Angeles office managing partner. “We are thrilled to welcome Keith to our growing West Coast team.”

Recognized by Chambers USA as a leader in Bankruptcy/Restructuring in California, Mr. Owens has more than 20 years of experience handling all aspects of bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings, creditors' rights matters and commercial litigation for businesses and individuals in a wide range of industries including entertainment, sports, commercial real estate, healthcare, technology, retail, construction, automotive, hospitality, licensing, software and the financial services industry. He often assists clients before federal bankruptcy courts, district courts and courts of appeal throughout the United States, and has led creditors' rights litigation in California state courts.

He has also worked extensively with lenders and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) servicers regarding real property secured loan litigation and real estate owned (REO) disposition matters, and in bankruptcy litigation and appeals.

Mr. Owens earned his J.D., cum laude, from Southwestern Law School where he served as Lead Articles Editor for the Law Review, and his B.A. degrees in history and political science from UCLA.

Prior to joining Fox, Mr. Owens was a partner at Venable LLP.
