HOLLAND & KNIGHT: Brianna Howard Named to National Black Lawyers List of Top 40 Under 40 in California

Holland & Knight recently issued the following announcement on Nov. 11

Holland & Knight Associate Brianna Howard has been selected for inclusion in The National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 Class of 2019 for California. The National Black Lawyers is a professional and educational organization comprised of the nation’s premier African American attorneys.

Membership in the Top 40 Under 40 is by invitation only. It is limited to 40 attorneys from each state who are under the age of 40 and who promote the organization’s purpose through the services they provide for individuals, families and businesses in their state. The multi-phase selection process includes nominations from leading lawyers and current National Black Lawyers members, as well as third-party research.

Ms. Howard is a litigation attorney in Holland & Knight’s Los Angeles office. Her practice primarily focuses on complex commercial disputes representing clients across a broad spectrum of industries in all phases of litigation. Her experience covers a variety of legal issues, including product liability, alcohol licensing, trade secrets, trademark and copyright, life sciences litigation and real estate litigation.

As part of her intellectual property litigation practice, Ms. Howard assists entertainment companies, technology innovators, software developers and major corporations. With a legal background in esports and virtual reality, she works with investors, entertainers and companies with strategic litigation planning and risk management.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Howard externed for Judge Saundra B. Armstrong of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. She received her J.D. degree from the University of California Hastings College of Law, where she served as executive editor of the Hastings Women’s Law Journal and was national champion of the BMI Entertainment and Communications Law Moot Court Competition. She currently is a coach of her alma mater’s nationally-ranked moot court team.
