Pepper Hamilton recently issued the following announcement on Nov. 13.

Justin H. Brown, a partner in Pepper Hamilton’s Private Clients group, was recently named a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.

ACTEC is a nonprofit association of lawyers and law professors skilled and experienced in the preparation of wills and trusts, estate planning, and probate procedure and administration of trusts and estates of decedents, minors and incompetents. Established in Los Angeles in 1949, ACTEC has a membership of more than 2,500 peer-elected Fellows, who must have no less than 10 years’ experience in the active practice of probate and trust law or estate planning to qualify for membership. Lawyers and law professors are elected to be Fellows based on their outstanding reputation, exceptional skill and substantial contributions to the field by lecturing, writing, teaching and participating in bar activities.

Mr. Brown focuses his practice on estate and tax planning, estate and trust administration, and estate litigation. He advises clients in connection with wealth transfer, asset protection and business succession strategies. He also counsels fiduciaries with respect to their duties and obligations in connection with the administration of estates and trusts.

Mr. Brown serves as an adjunct professor at Temple University's James E. Beasley School of Law and is the co-host of “The Digital Planning Podcast,” which educates individuals about all things digital in connection with estate planning, business planning and estate administration.
