Orange County Register editorial board: ‘The victory of Prop. 22 in California is a win for worker freedom’

The Orange County (OC) Register editorial board stated in a July 28 opinion that the California Supreme Court’s decision to uphold Proposition (Prop) 22, which classifies app-based transportation and delivery workers as independent contractors, is a "victory" for "worker freedom," consumers, and businesses.

In a commentary piece, he stated that trial attorneys are luring plaintiffs to join lawsuits through deceptive ads. Reports have found that this excessive litigation is imposing financial burdens on consumers, particularly affecting low-income Californians.
