Webp award

Trophy | In collaboration with Katelyn Perry

Fox Rothschild congratulates Darrell D. Miller and Marc H. Simon, who were named to The Hollywood Reporter’s 2025 “Power Lawyers” list.

This marks Miller’s 10th consecutive year on the prestigious list, which features attorneys who "negotiate the pacts and fight the battles that keep the cameras rolling."

Founding Chair of the firm’s Entertainment & Sports Law Department and Managing Partner of the firm’s Los Angeles Office, Miller is cited for his work bringing Pulitzer Prize winning “Monkey Boy” to the screen for longtime clients Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance. He also secured a multiyear deal for Bassett Vance Productions to develop and produce comedy, drama, limited series and movies across Disney’s television platforms.

Miller negotiated Da’Vine Joy Randolph’s Oscar winning role in “The Holdovers” and has since secured her next projects including MRC’s “The Gallerist,” A24’s “Eternity” and a Lionsgate action thriller.

Simon, Chair of the firm’s Entertainment & Sports Law Department, is commended for his work brokering the deal for Oscar-winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy to become first female director of a “Star Wars” film. Obaid-Chinoy is a Pakistani filmmaker and activist who is known for her 2016 documentary short about honor killings in her home country.

The Hollywood Reporter also notes Simon’s work facilitating the deals for Obaid-Chinoy’s Hulu documentary, “Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge,” and his collaboration on behalf of the Obama family’s Higher Ground Productions to develop live stage productions.
