Foley & Lardner LLP partner Wes Harward is named a 2025 Forty Under 40 honoree by Utah Business in recognition of being among the state’s rising business stars.Speaking to Utah Business for his honoree Q&A, Harward described both his business strategy and what he identifies as the most rewarding part of his work at Foley.
“I’m in the client service industry,” Harward said of his approach to business. “Plenty of lawyers are good at identifying problems and legal issues for clients, but I know it’s my responsibility to identify the problem and present my clients with options to solve the problem. Fundamentally, my job is to make my clients’ jobs easier.”“One of the most rewarding parts of being an attorney is making a meaningful impact through pro bono work,” he commented, pointing to a victory last year in a case where he and a Foley team helped secure the right for student-athletes on F1 visas to play varsity sports in Utah.
“It is rewarding to advocate for fairness, fight for the underrepresented and ensure that the justice system upholds its promise of equality,” Harward added.
