Lynsey Mitchel was named “Trusted Advisor of the Year” as part of the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2024 Health Care Leadership Awards program. The annual awards recognize “the accomplishments of individuals and organizations that make great strides in providing better quality health care in Los Angeles,” according to the publication.
A partner in Sheppard Mullin’s Healthcare industry team and a leader of the Health Plan practice, Mitchel is known for her expertise in managed care. She represents clients in HMO regulatory matters and has represented a substantial number of currently licensed restricted Knox-Keene HMO license holders in California in their licensure processes. She has worked on HMO licensure and other matters for Medicare Advantage, commercial and Medicaid health plans, including dental and vision plans.
