In a lawsuit filed at the Ventura Superior Court on August 15, 2023, plaintiff Christine M. Keagy is suing Los Robles Regional Medical Center, Westlake Oaks Healthcare, LLC dba Sherwood Oaks Post Acute, Providence Group, Inc., Providence Administrative Consulting Services and Does 1-35 (Case No.: 2023CUPPO12901). The complaint alleges elder abuse and neglect, violation of resident rights and negligence.

Represented by attorneys Gregory L. Johnson, Jody C. Moore and Stephanie A. Johnson from Johnson Moore law firm, Keagy alleges that during her time at Los Robles Regional Medical Center she was subjected to elder abuse and neglect due to her physical and mental limitations. The hospital is accused of failing to comply with state and federal regulations governing its operations.

The plaintiff further accuses the defendants of violating her resident rights as defined by Health & Safety Code §1430(b) and being negligent in their duties towards her. She was born on February 18, 1954 and was a resident of California's Ventura County at all relevant times.

Keagy seeks damages for the alleged violations of her rights as an elder person with physical and mental limitations. She argues that the defendants failed in their duty to provide adequate care in accordance with state and federal regulations.
