In a recent lawsuit filed in the Court of Appeal of the State of California, Anthony Sam, individually and as Managing Manager of Chino Americana Concepts 2013303 LLC, is suing Renee Kwan and other entities. The case was filed under Los Angeles County Super. Ct. No. BC721121 on April 19, 2024.

The lawsuit revolves around a parking lot purchased by Sam and Kwan's limited liability company in 2014 for $1.6 million. Unbeknownst to Sam, Kwan allegedly sold the lot the following year for a significant profit without his knowledge or consent. Berding & Weil, Anne L. Rauch and Trinette S. Sachrison are representing Sam while Saiki Law Group and Eric H. Saiki are among those defending Kwan.

Sam is seeking justice for what he claims to be an act of deceit by Kwan who fabricated documents and pocketed all the profits from the sale without giving him anything. He also sued the company providing title and escrow services for the sale along with the buyer of the parking lot.
