Barnes & Thornburg has added corporate, litigation and healthcare attorneys and legal professionals to its Atlanta, Chicago, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Nashville and Washington, D.C., offices.

An associate in the Los Angeles office, Nicole Fukuoka represents multinational and Fortune 500 companies in a variety of complex litigation matters, including asbestos, cosmetic talc, medical device, pharmaceutical, automotive and toxic tort cases. With a broad background in mass tort and product liability actions, Fukuoka has represented clients in both state and federal courts. She earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Southern California.

Janelle Julyan, a paralegal in the Atlanta office, offers two decades of experience assisting attorneys and clients with commercial real estate and franchise restaurant finance transactions. She has strong professional skills in document drafting, proofreading, collection, and review of due diligence matters. Julyan earned her B.B.A. from Georgia State University in 1998.

An associate in the Nashville office, Gunnar Jurgensen focuses his practice on regulatory healthcare compliance matters, fraud and abuse, and reimbursement matters, providing creative solutions to the intricate problems that arise in the healthcare industry. He earned his J.D. from William & Mary Law School in 2022 and his B.A. from Binghamton University in 2019.

He earned his J.D. from Howard University School of Law in 2020 and his B.A. from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh in 2015.

A staff attorney in the Washington, D.C., office, Daniella Piñeros is a skilled litigator who has handled complex medical malpractice and wrongful death cases on behalf of healthcare providers, including physicians and hospital systems. Gregory Preston, an associate in the Atlanta office, focuses his practice on representing lending institutions in financing transactions, including senior secured cash flow facilities and asset-based lending facilities. He earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2020 and his B.B.A. from the University of Georgia in 2016.
