Retail giant Target is facing a class action lawsuit for allegedly violating California labor laws, including shorting worker pay for workers at its distribution and warehouse facilities in California.

The suit was first filed in October in San Bernardino County Superior Court, but was later moved to Los Angeles federal court on Jan. 25.

The named plaintiffs, including Jehu Bello, Marcus Camacho, Logan Danson, Pancho D. Jimenez, Martin Jr. Rodriguez, Brandon Santiago, Eddie Washington, and Duwayne Williams, accuse Target of failing to pay for all hours worked, allegedly including minimum wage, straight time and overtime wages; not providing meal periods and rest periods; not timely paying final wages at termination among other allegations.

They are represented in the action by attorneys John G. Yslas, Jeffrey C. Bils, Aram Boyadjian and Andrew Sandoval, of the Wilshire Firm, of Los Angeles.

The plaintiffs are seeking to expand the action to include all hourly employees who worked at Target distribution centers in California since 2019.

They are seeking damages including allegedly unpaid wages and restitution, plus actual damages, statutory penalties and attorney fees.

Target Corporation has denied the accusations.
