Expanding its Northern California presence, Morgan Lewis today welcomes in Silicon Valley a pair of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) lawyers led by partner Khoa Do. A seasoned M&A lawyer, Khoa most recently served as chair of Winston & Strawn’s Northern California corporate practice. Joining Khoa is associate Nicholas Howe, who advises on M&A transactions across a range of industries.
“The addition of new team members on the West Coast allows us to strengthen our M&A and private equity capabilities in an important business center and in key industries,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “Khoa has a keen understanding of the market, and clients looking for a capable hand and practical advice will benefit from his insight.”
Khoa will continue to advise companies and private equity firms on transactions, including strategic mergers and business combinations, asset and stock acquisitions, and complex cross-border acquisitions. Over the course of his career, Khoa has advised on deals in the technology, life sciences, sports, and entertainment industries.
“With many deals under his belt and deep relationships with leading companies and private equity firms, Khoa is a fantastic addition to our team,” said Steven Browne, leader of the firm’s global corporate and business transactions practice. “Khoa and Nick will allow us to expand our presence in a key market and build on our exceptional client service.”
Their arrival in Silicon Valley follows that of a patent prosecution team led by Manita Rawat, who joined in September 2022, and other recent West Coast additions, including a labor-management relations team in Century City led by Adam Abrahms.
