The California Medical Association (CMA) affidavit filed against firefighters in their COVID-19 vaccine mandate litigation is an example of the state being pushed towards a Chinese model of communism, according to a GOP candidate for the California Assembly.

“This is a litmus test,” said Siaka Massaquoi, who is campaigning to be elected a member of the California Assembly for District 43. "A lot of deals have already been made with China itself here in California by the governor. It has nothing to do with health. We've allowed one-party rule, which is exactly what the founding fathers warned against and put in place to fight against."

As previously reported in the Southern California Record, a group of firefighters and other employees of the Los Angeles County Fire Department are suing over a county requirement that employees must receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

"California is pushing everyone to be vaccinated when we know that more people died of the virus in 2021 with a vaccine then just the novel virus of 2020 that scared everybody," Massaquoi told the Southern California Record.

Last week, the CMA filed a declaration with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in support of the County of Los Angeles' COVID-19 vaccine mandate. In the statement, former CMA trustee Steve R. Una emphasized how safe the COVID-19 vaccine is in preventing transmission, hospitalization, and death.

“It’s gross but I'm not surprised because state and local governments and big businesses have sided with everything that big pharma wants to do,” said Massaquoi who is suing the FBI after they allegedly raided his North Hollywood home because he was in attendance at the Jan. 6, 2021 rally at the U.S. Capitol in support of former President Donald Trump.

The CMA recommends and advocates vaccinations with limited exemptions, according to a press release.

“In order to protect the health and safety of Los Angeles County employees, as well as the community it serves, and to reduce hospitalizations and deaths, Los Angeles County must be able to take proactive, swift, and strong action to mitigate the spread of the virus,” Dr. Una stated in the court document.

If elected to the California Assembly, Massaquoi, plans to initiate an investigation.

“I want to look at the finances of the California Medical Association,” he added. “Where are they getting their money from that would cause them to impose this one-size-fits-all model where individual rights don't apply? What’s the reason? Because the incentive that I'm watching and seeing is only financial.”
