Real estate and finance attorney Josh Mogin joins Thompson Coburn in Los Angeles

Thompson Coburn LLP issued the following announcement on Jan. 20.

Thompson Coburn is pleased to announce that real estate and finance attorney Josh Mogin has joined Thompson Coburn as a partner in our Los Angeles office. Josh was previously a partner at Raines Feldman LLP in Los Angeles.

For over 20 years, Josh has represented institutional lenders, financial institutions, developers, special servicers, rating agencies, insurance companies, credit unions, hotels and property owners in a wide range of transactions, including financing, securitization, construction financing, agency lending, mezzanine financing, loan restructurings, foreclosures, acquisitions and dispositions.

“Josh has an incredible range of skills in real estate lending and finance,” said Jennifer Post, managing partner of Thompson Coburn’s Los Angeles office. “We’re excited to welcome him to Thompson Coburn and connect him with our clients in California and across the country.”

Josh has extensive experience in distressed real estate transactions including the implementation of financed note sale programs, loan sales and acquisition, receiverships and the sale of REO properties. He has negotiated numerous purchase and sale agreements for all types of REO properties throughout Southern California.

Josh’s practice also includes entertainment and corporate financing, including the representation of banks and private financing companies in connection with financing power facilities, film production, and intellectual property rights.

Josh earned his law degree from New York University and obtained a B.A. in History and a Master’s in Media Studies from Stanford University.
