Fox Rothschild LLP issued the following announcement on Dec. 29.
Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Labor & Employment Partner Sahara Pynes, who was named to the Leaders of Influence: Thriving in Their 40s list by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
This special supplement spotlights the careers, attributes and accomplishments of successful business leaders across the Los Angeles region. Pynes is noted for helping employers navigate the “legal minefield” that makes up the modern workforce, her role providing sexual harassment prevention training for California employers and working to expand the utilization of technology to simplify everyday HR practices for firm clients.
In the past year, Pynes has been advising employers on pandemic policies as they develop and tracking the patchwork of evolving regulations. She is particularly fluent in guiding businesses to minimize the risks of liability from lawsuits through preventative measures. She provides both established and emerging businesses informed and practical strategies to enhance company culture and effectively manage human resources. Her insight is bolstered by firsthand experience as the former president of Training Mavens, a company she founded prior to joining Fox, that provided businesses essential sexual harassment training before the MeToo movement brought the issue to national prominence.
Both within and outside the firm, Pynes is passionate about supporting other women. She is active in the Los Angeles Women’s Collective, a political action committee that works to increase the representation of women in politics and Create & Cultivate, an online resource for female entrepreneurs. To further support women leaders, Pynes also launched the Legally EmpowHERed podcast in 2021, where she is joined bi-weekly by a variety of guests to address challenges faced by female entrepreneurs and bosses.
Pynes is a member of the executive committee of the Santa Monica Bay chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization, a global network for successful young chief executives, and the advisory board for Present Now, an organization that supports women and children in domestic violence shelters. She also is a strong advocate for the Kevin Love Fund, a group that fosters mental health awareness for teens.
She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from New York Law School and B.S. from Syracuse University.
