Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP issued the following announcement on Oct. 21.
Troutman Pepper advised in more than 50 mergers and acquisitions in Q3 2021, with an overall deal value totaling more than $9.19 billion. Transactions spanned across the United States and also included several cross-border deals, including in Canada, U.K., New Zealand, South Africa, Chile, and France. Completed private equity-related transactions had an overall deal value totaling nearly $2.45 billion.
“Our overall M&A activity is keeping pace with the increased growth we saw in the first half of the year when we set records on the number of deals and deal value,” said Partner Matt Greenberg, who leads the firm’s Corporate Practice Group. “All indicators lead us to believe that this growth will continue through the fourth quarter so long as borrowing rates remain low and market confidence stays high.”
