All the Surprises in the No Surprises Act

Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP recently issued the following annoucement.

Join Faegre Drinker for a discussion of the Interim Final Rule: Part I implementing the No Surprises Act. The No Surprises Act will require payment of out-of-pocket costs at in-network levels and prohibit balance billing (“surprise billing”) to consumers resulting from emergency services provided by an out-of-network facility or nonemergency services from an out-of-network provider at an in-network facility. The Act and the regulations take effect for health care providers and facilities on January 1, 2022, and for group health plans, health insurance issuers and Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) Program carriers, for plan, policy or contract years beginning on or after January 1, 2022.
