Mayer Brown issued the following announcement on Aug. 3.
Mayer Brown announced that Amanda Rosenberg has joined the firm as a partner in the Tax Transactions & Consulting practice and as a member of the global Projects & Infrastructure team in Los Angeles. Ms. Rosenberg joins from Norton Rose Fulbright.
“Amanda’s lengthy track record and firm grasp of the renewable energy market, together with her experience in financing structures, further bolster the strength of our global tax group,” said Jason Bazar, a co-leader of Mayer Brown’s Tax Transactions & Consulting practice.
“Tax planning is one of the most complex and critical aspects of renewable energy projects,” said Paul Astolfi, a co-leader of Mayer Brown’s global Projects & Infrastructure practice. “Bringing Amanda on board – following the addition of Eric Pogue and John Tormey – significantly enhances the firm’s world-class renewables team in an important and growing market.”
Ms. Rosenberg's practice focuses on federal income tax law, with a particular emphasis on renewable energy investment, energy tax credits, government incentive programs and domestic and international project finance transactions. She also has extensive experience on CFIUS filings for foreign acquisitions of US companies and projects.
“Mayer Brown has one of the top renewables and tax practices in the country,” said Ms. Rosenberg. “The firm’s well-known reputation, collaborative culture and focus on West Coast growth were especially appealing to me.”
“We are steadfastly committed to growing our presence on the West Coast and bringing on new talent to further expand our tax capabilities, and Amanda’s arrival is a great example of both,” added John Nadolenco, the newly appointed managing partner of Mayer Brown’s Los Angeles office.
