GREENBERG TRAURIG: Once Again, Greenberg Traurig’s Mark Kemple and Timothy Long are on Daily Journal’s Top Labor and Employment Lawyers in California List

Greenberg Traurig issued the following announcement on July 7.

Mark D. Kemple and Timothy Long of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP have been named Top Labor & Employment Lawyers in California by the Daily Journal. This is the fourth consecutive and sixth year overall on the list for Kemple. Long has appeared four times overall, this being the second consecutive year. The publication’s annual list recognizes leading California attorneys who have made significant contributions in labor and employment law.

Kemple, a shareholder in the law firm’s Los Angeles office, is Co-Chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment Wage & Hour Class and Collective Action Litigation practice and leads the Southern California Labor & Employment Practice. Kemple has broad trial experience in many areas of the law, including employment class and individual litigation, consumer class litigation, false advertising, and unfair competition, where he focuses on the defense of wage/hour class actions and individual employment claims. Kemple has managed disputes for companies of all sizes and has tried numerous lawsuits and arbitrations throughout the United States. He has argued appeals in three federal circuits and several state courts of appeal, including in the California Supreme Court. He has been recognized as a Daily Journal Top Labor & Employment Lawyer in California in 2012, 2014, and 2018 through 2021.

Long, a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s Sacramento and Los Angeles offices, is Practice Group Leader of the Sacramento office’s Labor & Employment Practice. He has served as lead counsel in multiple class, collective, and representative actions and advising on dozens more; has litigated most if not all wage-and-hour issues employers face, as well as a wide variety of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims. Long has argued before several California Courts of Appeal, the California Supreme Court, the Washington State Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal, and has taken a case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. For the last 20 years, Long has edited and contributed to PLI’s Employment Law Yearbook. Long has been recognized as a Daily Journal Leading Labor & Employment Lawyer in 2013 and 2014 and in 2020 and 2021.
