FRESNO - The City of Fresno was brought to court after a woman allegedly tripped and fell on a sidewalk.
The complaint was filed on April 22 in the Fresno County Superior Court by plaintiff Cheryl Ann Cook. Cook, 57, was walking on the sidewalk northbound on Cedar Ave. on April 30, 2019.
According to the complaint, a raised piece of steel in the sidewalk caused Cook to trip and fall, causing injuries.
Cook says she needed to seek care at the hospital as a result of the fall on the public sidewalk.
Fresno is sued for one count of negligence in the personal injury claim.
