LOS ANGELES - San Bernardino County and three law enforcement officers face excessive force accusations, according to a lawsuit filed on March 4 in Los Angeles federal court.

Plaintiffs Kevin and Steven Arrona say that San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived at the Arrona family home in June 2013 demanding to enter the home because Steven's son had a warrant out for his arrest.

The plaintiffs requested a search warrant from the deputies and closed and locked the front door, the suit claims. The officers allegedly smashed through the door to storm into the residence. The plaintiffs say they sustained being punched in the face, being put in a choke hold, tasing, kicking and beating.

One of the deputies is on record saying "this is what you get for not complying with the police," the lawsuit said.

One of the plaintiffs underwent surgical operation to mend the injuries, the suit says.

The county, Sergeant James Port, Deputy J. Casey and Deputy Sean Tabor are charged with excessive force, unlawful custom and practice and failure to intervene.

The Arronas are seeking $1 million in damages plus litigation fees. They are represented by the Law Office of James S. Terrell.
