Troutman Pepper Hamilton LLP issued the following announcement on Aug. 14.
Raina Richter, a counsel in Troutman Pepper’s Construction Practice Group, has been selected to participate in the 2020 American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law Diversity Fellowship Program. The program aims to attract diverse construction lawyers into the ranks of active, long-term forum members. Only six, three-year fellowships are awarded each spring.
“I am honored to have been selected for the 2020 Diversity Fellowship Program and look forward to engaging with fellow participants across the country,” Richter said.
Richter primarily represents various design professionals including architects, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, traffic engineers and geotechnical engineers in a range of construction law matters and commercial disputes. Most recently, in the fall of 2019, she had a key role on the trial team that represented URS and AECOM in obtaining a 7-figure verdict against a joint venture between Atkinson Contractors and Walsh Construction, who had requested that the jury award more than $103 million against URS/AECOM related to their design work on the State Route 91 highway expansion project.
The ABA’s Forum on Construction Law spans all segments of the construction industry: owners, design professionals, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, suppliers, insurers and sureties. The group’s mission is to serve the construction industry through education and leadership while building the best construction lawyers.
