FOLEY & LARDNER: COVID-19 Legal and Corruption Risks and Pitfalls in Latin America

Covid1280

Foley & Lardner recently issued the following announcement.

When: 28-29 May 2020

The COVID-19 virus has created many difficult challenges for the medical and health care industries, but once the pandemic passes, there may still be serious problems to resolve. Government agencies (along with media and civil society) will be examining the actions of both individuals and organizations during the Covid-19 pandemic, looking for evidence of illegal activity and non-compliance with the law, and some in the industry may find themselves targets of government investigations without even realizing that they may be in trouble.

This one-hour webinar, hosted by the Concilium Global Compliance, Investigations & Defense Network, will discuss legal anti-bribery and compliance risks in countries across Latin America, providing insights and cautionary advice that will inform professionals in the medical and health care industries from Mexico to South America. The presentation will be followed by a question & answer period, and each Concilium Network member will be happy to answer specific questions about enforcement policies and anti-corruption laws.
